Heat Decarbonization

My research on heat decarbonization focuses on the integration of low-carbon technologies into French energy systems, emphasizing coupled heat and electricity systems.
Together with Lukas Hofmann (2022-2025), we investigate the impact of decarbonization strategies on national electricity grids, analyzing coupled local thermal and national electrical systems. We developed a methodology for assessing the economic and environmental viability of district heating networks at territorial scales.
Additionally, I studied thermal storage solutions with Anne-Geneviève Lemelle, demonstrating significant potential for grid flexibility.
